Few More Minutes To Launch Your Demo

Can you think of anything that is left and is not present in the long list of features offered by the Facebook which is holding the crown as the king of social networks or microblogging giant Twitter. Even the largest online corporation Google Inc. has failed to introduce something new.  I have already mentioned in my previous post on  FEB 28, 2012 that the average time spent by a US user on Google+ is only 3.3 minutes.  So the issue is, “Do ou really need another social networking website?”

Social Networking website Pinterest

In the same way, the concept behind Pinterest is not  actually new. Wikipedia describes the newcomer as, “Pinterest is a pinboard-styled social photo sharing website. The service allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections.” a service offered by almost every other social network. The tag line or signature statement of the site says, “Connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting.” In short it is just another way to do the old stuff.

As far as I think, it differs from other social media sites in two ways. First one is the audience as it is popular mainly among women and the other one is concerned to the copyright issues that have been causing a lot of problems for other social sites. Pinterest links back to the original source of the image. In other words you are not stealing images. Instead, you’re promoting them to your Pinterest followers. So, Pinterest isn’t really responsible for all the copyright-violating content that users post to Pinterest.
